Gettin' Ready for Cinco de Mayo!

It's spring break, so I'm getting ahead on my holidays!  I'm really excited about my second original book for my TPT store.  If You Give a Chihuahua a Taco is an original Cinco de Mayo story following the "If You Give a ____ a ____" familiar format!  Included with the book are 16 picture cards to be used for retelling or sequencing.  In addition, the cards can be used to target listening comprehension and expressive language.  To practice listening comprehension, lay the cards out and play a describing game by describing a picture and having students guess which one you’re describing.  Target expressive language by drawing a card and using the Expanding Expression Tool to have students name the group (or category), function, description, composition (what it’s made from), parts, where it’s found/seen, and prior knowledge.
